Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 23, 2025

Welcome to GenX Auto Transport. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including vehicle transportation brokerage within the United States. By booking a shipment with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Definitions

a. “GenX Auto Transport” refers to GenX Auto Transport, a licensed and bonded freight broker based in Connecticut.
b. “Customer” refers to any individual or entity booking vehicle transportation services through GenX Auto Transport.
c. “Carrier” refers to the motor carrier contracted to transport the Customer’s vehicle.
d. “Bill of Lading” is the official shipping document acknowledging the condition of the vehicle before and after transport.
e. “First Available Date (FAD)” refers to the earliest date the Customer indicates the vehicle is ready for pickup.
f. “Pickup Window” refers to the estimated time frame for pickup, typically 1–3 business days from the FAD.

2. Service Agreement

  • GenX Auto Transport operates as a broker and does not own or operate trucks.
  • We connect Customers with licensed, insured carriers.
  • Once a carrier is assigned, a legally binding agreement is established between the Customer and the Carrier.

3. Quotes & Pricing

  • All quotes are estimates and subject to change due to market conditions, fuel costs, and carrier availability.
  • Prices are confirmed upon carrier assignment.
  • Additional charges may apply for inoperable vehicles, oversized vehicles, or modifications.

4. Payment & Deposits

  • A booking fee is collected at the time of Carrier assignment to initiate and secure logistics coordination. This fee is considered earned upon execution of internal service preparation.
  • The remaining balance is to be paid at delivery directly to the Carrier in the form of cash, cashier’s check, or money order. Payments made through other methods are not accepted for balance settlement at delivery.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Before Carrier Assignment: In the event a Customer elects to halt coordination prior to Carrier confirmation, the transaction will be reviewed under the company’s internal operating procedures. Any consideration extended in such cases is discretionary and subject to evaluation of service steps already undertaken.
  • After Carrier Assignment (Before Pickup): When coordination has progressed to confirmed Carrier scheduling, administrative and logistical arrangements have commenced. Disengagement at this phase may incur a standard coordination withdrawal fee ranging between $100 and $200, assessed based on route complexity and timing.
  • After Vehicle Pickup: Transport arrangements are in full execution once the vehicle is in Carrier custody. Any requests for adjustment beyond this point fall outside the broker’s jurisdiction and must be resolved directly with the Carrier, which may involve additional costs or conditions.

6. Pickup & Delivery

  • Pickup and delivery are door-to-door unless access restrictions require an alternative location.
  • Vehicles must be in operable condition unless otherwise disclosed.
  • The Carrier will perform a pre-transport inspection, and the Customer or an authorized agent must be present for both pickup and delivery.
  • Customers must remove all personal belongings, as GenX Auto Transport and Carriers are not responsible for lost or damaged items left in the vehicle.

7. Liability & Insurance

  • Carriers are required to maintain cargo insurance under FMCSA regulations.
  • Customers must inspect their vehicle at delivery and note any damages on the Bill of Lading.
  • GenX Auto Transport is not responsible for damages. All claims must be filed with the Carrier’s insurance.

8. Service Delays & Limitations of Liability

  • Estimated pickup and delivery dates are not guaranteed and may be affected by weather, traffic, mechanical failures, or other unforeseen factors.
  • GenX Auto Transport is not liable for delays or indirect costs (e.g., rental car fees, lodging, missed deadlines).
  • Carriers may refuse transport due to safety concerns or vehicle misrepresentation.

9. Changing Pickup or Delivery Locations

  • Before Carrier Assignment: Free of charge.
  • After Carrier Assignment: A $100 or more surcharge may apply depending on distance and carrier availability.

10. No-Show & Storage Fees

  • If the Customer is unavailable at pickup or delivery, additional fees may apply for storage or rescheduling.
  • Vehicles left unclaimed for more than 7 days may be considered abandoned, and the Customer will be responsible for associated fees.

11. Messaging & Communication Policy

  • By providing a phone number, the Customer consents to receiving SMS, calls, and emails regarding their shipment.
  • Messaging frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply.
  • Customers can opt out anytime by replying STOP to SMS or unsubscribing from emails.
  • We comply with TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) and CAN-SPAM Act to ensure responsible communication practices.

12. Independent Contractor Status

  • GenX Auto Transport is an independent broker and does not control carrier operations.
  • Carriers are responsible for transport execution and adherence to FMCSA regulations.

13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

  • This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
  • Any disputes must be resolved through arbitration per American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules.
  • Legal proceedings must be filed in the State of Connecticut.

14. Changes to Terms & Conditions

GenX Auto Transport reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website.
